Welcome
(18 May 2013) Hello, bonjour, hola, guten Tag, hej, konnichiwa, namaste, and welcome to Crawl Palmetto, a website featuring stories, photos, music thoughts, and the occasional Blur article from the past. I've been a little bit Godzilla crazy this month, hence:
A little comic made using a Lego character and a model of Little Godzilla (from 1994's Godzilla vs. SpaceGodzilla). It's not quite Pacific Rim but, well, the budget was much much smaller. You don't need IMAX 3D to enjoy this epic!
I've always enjoyed writing little stories. What usually happens, though, is that I'll have a lovely little idea which absolutely flies for a few pages before coming to a jarring halt. There's no plan, so the story just stops. To try and encourage some sort of completeness in my literary work (ha) I came up with an outline for this short piece, then sat down to write it. So on the one hand it's a stupid short story. On the other hand it's a roaring success. You can judge for yourself here.

But when Graham hits the frog it gives a deep Satanic rasp, a terrifyingly distorted lo-fi froggy roar. "What noise do you think a chicken makes?" Graham giggles, and hits the chicken. (read more)
In February I went to Paris for a few days to do some typically touristy things. Here are some photos and notes from my trip.
Also, a little treat, a short story about Lucky the cat, entitled La Reinita Lucky.
This is shockingly late, but surely better late than never? It's a rundown of my favourite albums from 2012.
